After I looked through some reviews I have limited my choices down to the top rated distributions: Mandriva Linux, SUSE Linux, or Fedora. There is also Ubuntu but which we talked of ealier.

My goal with this machine is to create a computer that can be used specifically for the TWE group. We could use it to create images and try out new programs. The TWE Machine could also be used for the new direct connection that Mr. Unangst has been experimenting with. It will be placed in the workspace we are designating for TWE so it will be readily be available to use at all times.

For some reason some higher power doesnt want to TWE Machine to live.  i have it up and working on the ubuntu trial but so far i havent been able to intall fedora ( error kept occuring during installing) and the same was happening with the desktop version of SUSE so in the near future i am going to try and put the whole SUSE package on the TWE Machine and hope it goes well. 

On the week of the 21st I nuked the TWE Machine and went for a fresh start.  After the nuking was done on the 29th I installed Linux SUSE on the machine.  The installation went off without a hitch and I did not encounter any annoying errors like i did when i was trying to install Fedora the last time.  After the installation was complete was when the good old TWE Machine problems decided to occur.  This time the problem is that once the startup is complete teh screen goes black except for a message saying that it is out of range (something about HKs)  Mr. Unangst suggested I try a new video card but the same message appeared.  My Plan B is that the monitor might need replaced becasue I am using a very old and outdated one i grabbed from the Graveyard.  Heopfully I can solve this problem and it will be the last one I come across.
