Look into some of the CMS options at OpenSourceCMS.
CMS versions that we like:
Mr. Unangst - I like Mambo.
Matt - I like Etomite, it looks very organized. I also hear Drupal is very very good, like there is nothing you cant do on it.
Brandon - I like Dragonfly and Etomite
Peter - we need manuals for these...I did however manage to do something with etomite, I'm probably CMS challenged
Eric- I agree with mr. U and I liked mambo. I also like bitweaver.

Sebastian - SMS Translation
Eric- A chat area that students can use to talk about such things as homework or other school materials. only problem would be monitoring the content of the conversations.
Matt - A forum for discussion?^^ Printable versions of all school forms and such. A student email with notifications of upcoming events would be helpful.
