If the purpose of the 'device' is to attempt to prototype something that would/could/will have an educational purpose... we'd be headed in the right direction. -Unangst

Paragraph

As of right now, the tv screen/prjector seems like a very good idea that can be put to educational use. There are plenty of things on Instructables.com but most of them do not seem sutible for me to do. They also are hard to set a purpose to them besides doing it for the heck of it. The hardest part of this will be finding a way to make the lcd screen mobile since the instructions want it to be fixed to one projector. That is as far as I am right now on the project, but as soon as we can locate an lcd screen and an overhead projector to prototype the color projector with movie capabilities. As far as I can see, the instructions are all there and it will be able to do everything that a normal projector can do.

The lcd screen is completely dimembered and disassembled.  I have run into one problem with making it mountable to the over head projector.  The two circuit boards that are part of the lcd crystal are fastened together by a 90 degree ribbon wire over top of the screen.  Mr. U and I have just gatherd some ribbon wire that may work to solve this problem.  I will be investigating how this will work and then mount it to the projector as soon as possible.

Update 5/24/07

Progress is slow, due to a slight problem in the connection of the two circuit boards connected to the lcd screen.  We have found a round about way to overcome this, but due to time restraints will be delayed untill further notice.  If it were not for this problem, it would be up and running right now, seeing as how everything else is connected and ready to go.
